Greek Revival

The turn of the century home had been neglected for many years.  Former owners built a large attached two-story barn, but left it unfinished.  The new owners remodeled the house throughout and finished the barn creating more living space.  Steel beams were hoisted through windows to support the heavy loads throughout the new large rooms.  Many rooms in the house had old wide pine floors that were layered with paint.  The floors were sanded and refinished.  The new family room and master bedroom were finished with new wide pine board that Anthony cut and milled.  A stain was made to match the old pine floors.  The new family room captures the view of the river on three sides.  A gas stone fireplace was added for warmth and charm.  The prize detail of the new family room is the hand railing.  Anthony hand hammered, cut, and bent the metal to look like the cattails along the river bank.
